Phase 2 Homes attending JLC Live in Seattle

Phase 2 Homes will be attending the JLC Live Residential Construction Show in Seattle from November 12 - 15. We are hoping to get some more interesting renovation ideas from the conference which includes sessions on green building, energy efficiency and custom home detail wood working. The conference also has a big exhibit hall with many big industry players where we are hoping to gain some product partnerships for equipment and products.

Sale Closed on Carroll Street Project

We closed our sale today on the Carroll Street, bringing this project to completion. It took us longer than we had anticipated (by about 1 month), but the end result was worth the extra time. We are really proud of the house and feel it really enhances what was already a great neighborhood. Phase 2 Homes Charity Trip to Alabama

With the Carroll Street project wrapping up, I decided a good way to take a break after all our hard work would be to give something back to those in need. I was shocked to learn of how many homes in the South are still in need of serious repair 3 years after hurricane Katrina. Carroll Street House is Sale Pending

We accepted an offer last night on the Carroll Street house. Our thanks to all that showed interest! This has been a great project house and we are really happy with the results and also with the reactions people have had to the finished product. Keep an eye out for our next project house. It does take time for us to find the right opportunity, so check back every so often.

Finally ready to show the Carroll Street house

After several delays and frustrations getting our contractors schedules in line, we are pleased to announce that we will finally be ready to show the Carroll Street house this coming Saturday, September 20th. The open house will be from 11am till 4pm. We'll be demonstrating the numerous features of the house as well as serving some light appetizers and drinks. We are still on track to show the house this weekend. Lots of details are getting wrapped up this week and the house is really starting to look finished. The front of the house has been landscaped. The driveway was poured on Monday and looks great. The fencing along the driveway is also finished up. The exterior lighting on the back of the house and on the garage was installed. We've set an asking price of $799,000 for the house at Carroll Street. We are accepting requests for private viewings now for dates staring September 12th. Offers on the house will be accepted on September 16th by 5pm for consideration. Progress Update and Schedule News at Carroll Street

We are still having a few issues with sub-contractors schedules as we are wrapping up our project at Carroll Street. We are waiting for our cabinet doors at the moment to finish the kitchen work. Progress update at Carroll Street

Despite our best efforts to finish up our project at Carroll Street this week, we are still looking at one more week to wrap up the last details. The painters that we use were only able to come last weekend and have not been able to give us any time this week due to a schedule conflict with another job. We are hoping to have them show up this coming weekend to get our painting wrapped up. This is not for certain yet, but we are hoping to confirm their time availability tomorrow.

Getting Closer at Carroll St

We've been working extra hours to try to get back on schedule at our house on Carroll Street this week. Lots of progress has been made this past week. As of today (Saturday 6/23) we have our trim work done on all the door casing and the window casing on the inside of the house as well as the base boards throughout the house. Floor Color at Carroll St

We just wanted to give you a quick sample of the finished floor color. Yesterday they were able to get the floor sanding finished and the stain color applied to the floor. It came out even better than we had anticipated! The floor needs some time to dry before work can continue inside. Kitchen cabinet work should continue offsite while the floor is drying.

Window Casing, Flooring and Driveway at Carroll St

The window casing on the inside of the house at Carroll St was finished up and really looks great. We were able to recreate a look similar to that of the original window casing while dressing them up more than the original using our own custom design. New Grass, Tiling, Flooring, and Stucco at Carroll St

The grass was installed over the weekend in both the front and back yards. The new sod and sprinkler system makes a huge difference in the outside appearance of the house. Things look really clean. There are lots of things happening simulaneously these days at the Carroll Street house as we push to get things completed. Although the list of things to do is still fairly long, they are mostly detail finishing work at this point.

We have working lights and also working audio at the Carroll Street house. We had the electrical work finish up the details on the lighting. We also have working audio in the kitchen. The kitchen speakers were wired in and the A-Bus audio system was connected up allowing us to plugin an MP3 player to one of the wall inputs to play music in the house while we are working. Roofing and Painting at Carroll Street

We now have a real roof and gutters on the new garage at the Carroll Street house. It really makes the garage look more finished. We are scheduled to have the framing inspected on the garage tomorrow and if it passes, we move on to siding, electrical and painting.
