Progress update at Carroll StreetPosted by steve in progress, house projects |

Despite our best efforts to finish up our project at Carroll Street this week, we are still looking at one more week to wrap up the last details. The painters that we use were only able to come last weekend and have not been able to give us any time this week due to a schedule conflict with another job. We are hoping to have them show up this coming weekend to get our painting wrapped up. This is not for certain yet, but we are hoping to confirm their time availability tomorrow.
Inside the house, the kitchen cabinets have been installed (we are waiting for the cabinet doors which is another schedule issue) and work is almost done on the counters and the backsplash. The plan is to finish up the counters and backsplash work tomorrow (Friday 8/29). The fireplace surround tile was completed earlier in the week and it looks great. The air conditioning unit was installed this week just in time to keep us cool during these couple hot days (thanks to our Heating/AC contractor!!!). We also have all the sink and shower fixtures in the bathrooms installed.
Outside, the new garage door was installed along with the side door to the garage. The new rollup door really dresses up the garage. The garage is ready to go, it just needs paint. We also replaced the fence along the side street (Iowa) in preparation for pouring the driveway at the beginning of next week. We'll be taking down the old fence in front of the driveway once the driveway has been poured.
We plan on releasing the pricing and open house schedule information on Tuesday of next week rather than the end of this week. We apologize for any inconvience our schedule issues may be causing, but we'd like to have the house as close to final as possible before we open things up for viewing.
