Progress update at Carroll Street

Posted by steve in progresshouse projects

Despite our best efforts to finish up our project at Carroll Street this week, we are still looking at one more week to wrap up the last details. The painters that we use were only able to come last weekend and have not been able to give us any time this week due to a schedule conflict with another job. We are hoping to have them show up this coming weekend to get our painting wrapped up. This is

Posted by steve in progresshouse projects

We've been working extra hours to try to get back on schedule at our house on Carroll Street this week. Lots of progress has been made this past week. As of today (Saturday 6/23) we have our trim work done  on all the door casing and the window casing on the inside of the house as well as the base boards throughout the house. Painting has started on the trim work inside the house and will

Floor Color at Carroll St

Posted by steve in progresshouse projects

Floor ColorWe just wanted to give you a quick sample of the finished floor color. Yesterday they were able to get the floor sanding finished and the stain color applied to the floor. It came out even better than we had anticipated! The floor needs some time to dry before work can continue inside. Kitchen cabinet work should continue offsite while the floor is drying.

More to come soon as things are wrapping

Window Casing, Flooring and Driveway at Carroll St

Posted by steve in progresshouse projects

Window TrimThe window casing on the inside of the house at Carroll St was finished up and really looks great. We were able to recreate a look similar to that of the original window casing while dressing them up more than the original using our own custom design. Once the painting on the inside is completed they will look fantastic. We are really pleased with how well the work on these came out.

New Grass, Tiling, Flooring, and Stucco at Carroll St

Posted by steve in progresshouse projects

The grass was installed over the weekend in both the front and back yards. The new sod and sprinkler system makes a huge difference in the outside appearance of the house. Things look really clean. If you get a chance, take a drive by and see what a difference the new lawn makes. We also installed some lighting outside along the walk to the front porch and beneath the big tree in the front yard.

Quick Progress update at Carroll St

There are lots of things happening simulaneously these days at the Carroll Street house as we push to get things completed. Although the list of things to do is still fairly long, they are mostly detail finishing work at this point.

We started re-laying the original hardwood floor yesterday and expect to finish up the floor re-laying by the end of the week. Once its down, we are going to have it

The kitchen speakers were wired in and the A-Bus audio system was connected up allowing us to plugin an MP3 player to one of the wall inputs to play music in the house while we are working. Garage roofWe now have a real roof and gutters on the new garage at the Carroll Street house. It really makes the garage look more finished. We are scheduled to have the framing inspected on the garage tomorrow and if it passes, we move on to siding, electrical and painting.

Last Friday we had the taping and texturing finished on the sheetrock inside. Today we had painters come and starting priming all the

Things are really taking shape now at the house on Carroll Street. All of the sheetrock was completed inside the house, so you can really get a feel for the different room spaces. This next week we'll be having the sheetrock taped and textured in preparation for painting. We'll post so pictures later in the week once the taping and texturing is completed.

The garage roof sheating was completed
