Let there be light and sound at Carroll Street

We have working lights and also working audio at the Carroll Street house. We had the electrical work finish up the details on the lighting. We also have working audio in the kitchen. The kitchen speakers were wired in and the A-Bus audio system was connected up allowing us to plugin an MP3 player to one of the wall inputs to play music in the house while we are working. Roofing and Painting at Carroll Street

Garage roofWe now have a real roof and gutters on the new garage at the Carroll Street house. It really makes the garage look more finished. We are scheduled to have the framing inspected on the garage tomorrow and if it passes, we move on to siding, electrical and painting.

Sheetrockin and Garage Roofin Carroll Street

Things are really taking shape now at the house on Carroll Street. All of the sheetrock was completed inside the house, so you can really get a feel for the different room spaces. This next week we'll be having the sheetrock taped and textured in preparation for painting. We'll post so pictures later in the week once the taping and texturing is completed.

Inspections and Progress at Carroll St

Things are really moving along well over at the Carroll St house. We passed our major inspections yesterday which was a big milestone for the house work. All the major systems inspections (framing, rough plumbing, mechanical, and electrical) passed which allows us to move on to insulating in preparation for sheetrock work. New Windows and more at 395 Carroll St.

New windows arrived today and some of them were installed on the front of the house. We are really excited by the change in look already. RepFront viewlacing the front door, trim work, painting, lighting and landscaping are still to be done to complete the front, but we've attached a picture so that you can see the style of the windows.

Latest Progress on 395 Carroll St

Things are moving steadily along on many things at the house on 395 Carroll St in Sunnyvale. Electrical work has started and progressed quickly. All the outlet and switch boxes have been set, the recessed lighting is in, and wire has been pulled to most of the locations of the house. In a couple days we should be able to turn on the lights at the house!

High Tech Info page

We've added an additional page to Carroll St. project page that describes some of the tech features of the house and the distrubution panel we are using. For you techno-philes out there, its a fun bit of information. We plan to update that information as we add/ update the features of the house.

The 2 main walls of the garage went up yesterday (Tuesday) and the rest should be going up tomorrow.

Progress updates at 395 Carroll St

The new garage foundation was poured today which means we should be standing up 2 of the outer walls tomorrow. We are planning to finish up the outer walls of the garage this week and start working on the garage roof this weekend (assuming the walls are completed during the week!).

Inside the house, the framing odds and ends have been finished up in anticipation of HVAC work and electrical work
