Windows and Skylites coming soon...

We will be getting the new windows for the house next week. It will be great to see new, energy efficient windows take the place of the old single pane ones. We picked a style that is reminicent of the period that the house was built, but yet look modern and have all the modern conveniences. The style also complements some of the other homes in the neighborhood. We'll be posting pictures of the new windows once they are in place so check back at the end of next week.

We also decided to add a skylite to the kitchen to make sure it has nice balanced natural light during the day. Right now with the walls of the house opened up, we could see the value of the extra natural light that the walls may end up hiding somewhat. The skylite will bring extra light into the kitchen and keep the bright feeling we've come to like even in the early stages. We'll post a picture of this as well once its installed.

High Tech Wiring

The new high tech wiring panel arrived yesterday and will be installed next week. It will provide video, phone and network connections to all the rooms in the house with the option to customize the connections from a single location. More to come on this once its installed.
